Renewable Energy

Today with the rapid growth of development of the world's technologies, from fast foods, clothing, entertainment, information and communication technology, it is indeed we are living with unprecedented changes everyday. These changes and continuous development in technologies brought us comfortable and at-ease everyday living. But we cannot deny the effects of these changes and rapid growth in technologies to our environment, which caused the uber popular earth's dilemma, the GLOBAL WARMING.

Global warming post grave threats to us through climate change, a sudden changes in earth's temperature paves way for a more drastic and destructive natural calamity such as hurricanes, typhoons, flooding and many more that causes deaths of thousands of lives annually. But of course with any problems there is, there is a solution. One of many solution that can avert the cause of global warming is the use of "Renewable Energy".

What is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy effectively uses natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished. Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, wind power, hydroelectricity/micro hydro, biomass and biofuels for transportation. These energy don't cause any harm to the environment like what the fossil fuels are doing. It is sometimes called "Clean Energy".

One of the most popular of all the forms of renewable energy is Solar Energy.

Solar Energy

Solar energy is energy from the Sun. This energy drives climate and the weather supports virtually all life on Earth. Heat and light from the sun, along with solar-based resources such as wind and wave power, hydroelectricity and biomass, account for over 99.9 percent of the available flow of renewable energy.

Solar energy technologies harness the sun's energy for practical ends. These technologies date from the time of the early Greeks, Native Americans and Chinese, who warmed their buildings by orienting them toward the sun. Modern solar technologies provide heating, lighting, electricity and even flight.

Solar power is used synonymously with solar energy or more specifically to refer to the conversion of sunlight into electricity. This can be done either through the photovoltaic effect or by heating a transfer fluid to produce steam to run a generator.

Earth receives 174 petawatts of incoming solar radiation (insolation) at the upper atmosphere at any given time.

The best way to harness the power of the sun is by using what we called solar cell or photovoltaic (PV) panels.

A solar cell or photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light into electricity using the photoelectric effect.

Solar power generation is a clean energy system that generates electricity from sunlight that falls on the earth. It can be used just about anywhere-in large buildings, in factories, and in residential homes. Both commercial and private customers are showing increased interest in solar power generation.

GreenMobile solar charger aims to tackle and help alleviate the threat of climate change using renewable energy like the energy from the sun or what we called Solar Power. With the huge numbers of these gadgets or mobile products that amounts to billion of units worldwide, we can reduce the use of fossil fuel powered energy to power these gadgets and help fight climate change one gadget at a time.
